rating for extremely probable body horror. canon is Franken Fran
[You can't quite place it, but there's something slightly intimidating about the giant, secluded, Mary Shelly-esque manor. Maybe it's just something about the light. Either way, it's the only shelter for miles, and you're not going to let any sort of pop-cultural preconceptions keep you out here in the storm.
After a few solid seconds of knocking, the doors creak open to reveal a girl, probably no older than her late teens, covered in a network of stitches and surgical scars and flanked by a pair of monstrous manservants. Literally monstrous. One of them has a dog's head, for Christ's sake.
Maybe you should've just kept walking.]
Ah, hello! Can I help you?

What planet is this man-dog supposed to be from? It's kind of funny.
Fran will find a pale-looking man in chinese-style clothing at the door. He's holding an umbrella even if it isn't raining. ]
Hello! I appear to be shipwrecked, so I'm going to need some help.
no subject
[Because that's clearly what they need to focus on right now.]
no subject
[ and all the NPCs he was travelling with died in the crash but that's not important right now ]

no subject
But I am quite famished, so I was wondering if you had any food to spare a lost traveler. If it's money you need, I have it.
no subject
[It's might be a bad idea to just invite an obviously crazy stranger into your house like that, but that's never stopped her before.]
no subject
Thanks! I gotta say, this is a pretty big house. [ Kamui lets himself in, giving the man-faced dog a pat. ] Actually, it looks like something you'd see in a certain genre of movies. [ and so does Fran ... just saying ]
no subject
Yes, I can see where you could draw that comparison. You shouldn't have anything to fear, though. Most of the residents here are actually quite docile.
no subject
[ a pity. oh well, he's hungry right now. ]
Where's the kitchen?
no subject
[She takes a sharp right turn into another hallway, beckoning him with her hand to follow.]
I'll admit, that's a little surprising to hear. Most people wouldn't be too thrilled by the idea. [but it's pretty clear by now that neither of them are most people, so whatev.]
no subject
Ah, no offense. [ Though, he's not quite sure he can consider Fran a human ..... ]
no subject
[She takes another sharp turn, finally reaching that most holy of holies, the kitchen. It's surprisingly well-stocked for a secluded horror mansion. They've got a lot of mouths to feed.]
As I was saying, I hadn't expected an extraterrestrial to look so human~
my waifu
Life anew, shaped from broken pieces.
[And then she speaks up, addressing Fran herself.]
... sorry to have bothered you. I'm lost.
no subject
Would you like to come inside? I can't imagine you'll last much longer in these conditions. [And, as if to emphasize Fran's point, there's a peal of thunder from somewhere off in the distance.]
no subject
[Despite that:]
If you don't mind.
screams
Of course, she's been patrolling from the look of her. Her boots caked in mud, leaves and sticks sticking to her cloak. Veronica huffed in annoyance as she waited for someone to answer, relieved when someone did, but surprised when it wasn't Howl.]
Fran? Can you let me in? I'm getting soaked to the bone out here.
YO
[You'd expect Fran to be able to recognize her own sister by now, but she's been having a rough day, lay off.]
Of course. What were you doing out in the storm? [More security work, she bets. Veronica's as capable as they come, but that doesn't stop her from worrying sometimes.]
YOOOO
I was patrolling the area, as usual. I found a milita group off to the south. [She clutched her cloak and twisted it, water, and something redder than that, dripping off.] Not much of a problem.
no subject
And the bodies? [Not even considering the possibility of survivors here.]
no subject
I'm not sure they could be called bodies after that. But, I pretty sure there's one or two out there you could salvage.
no subject
[Sighing and shaking her head. The things you make her do, Veronica.]
Maybe next time you can let them off with a warning instead.
no subject
They were making a beeline for the estate, Fran. I couldn't... [Noting her face, Veronica chooses to swallow her words and nods.] Fine, a warning next time.
no subject
[If she can't stitch them together into an insensate abomination that begs for death, then by god what good are they?]
no subject
I... well...
[Would it be fun watching as another abomination against nature was created by her sister's hands? Did she have a choice in the matter?]
I can... lead you to them, I guess. It's really not that far.
no subject
[no she's not going to change into something more appropriate, why would you think that. a labcoat is still technically a coat.]
no subject
Alright. [A sigh and a nod to the servants before Veronica steps out into the rain and motions for Fran to follow. A few of the servants will assuredly join them.]
Also screams
I have returned with the snacks.
[Gesturing with her bag of various treats that were requested of her.]
YOOOOO
[Fran.os rebooting in 3. 2. 1...]
Oh, the snacks~ Just in time, too. Okita was starting to get antsy.
[Fran steps aside, gesturing for Adorea to enter.]
Come on in.
83 That Veronica and I tag alot together at Mirage_universe, they pointed me to you
[She follows inside and folds her umbrella tucking it away before stepping out of her shoes.]
They were out of the chips he asked for so I got a few other choices.
I also got some pudding and chocolate bars and drinks.
They never see fit to ask if I'm old enough.
[It's difficult from her calm voice to tell if that bothers her or if she's just making conversation]
really? I'll have to check that out sometime
[Fran starts shuffling down the hall, expecting Adorea to follow.]
Do you have any idea what we'll be watching tonight?
[Movie night at the estate is always a special occasion, and there's a danger inherent to letting Oswald pick out tonight's feature. Guy's tastes are all over the place.]
We just got a Garvill who's trying us out too <3
I think we might be seeing a Disney movie. That new one just came out on DVD on Tuesday.
[Adorea loved movie night in her own quiet way. Especially the love stories whenever one could be found in their movie of choice.]
Did you ever get a copy of the movie you starred in?
[Or more accurately, wore the corpse of the star in]
no subject
No, unfortunately. You'd think after the hard work we put in, the studio would've given away one of the reels, but no such luck. It's a little rude, if you ask me.
[The mysterious and horrific deaths of the entire cast and crew may have had something to do with it. Just spitballing here.]
no subject
[Adorea agrees even if she can understand why they might have held back. Such is her way. She's obviously on Fran's side in the matter]
Maybe someday someone will make a movie about The Doctor and you?
no subject
That's a pleasant thought, but I doubt it. I'm not really much of an actress, you know?
no subject
[If she is aware in the slightest that she's pushing the wrong buttons she doesn't show it. She continues to move in her calm controlled way speaking in her peaceful soft voice]
At least, I think so.
