Setting: Spaaaaaace!
Jacob Taylor is hard at work in his starship's armory. He's in charge of maintaining an impressive array of assault rifles, heavy pistols, grenade launchers, and other implements of destruction and defense. Jacob's aware that the lives of his friends and crewmates might depend on the condition of these weapons. It's a job he takes seriously, and it's a job he's good at.
When your character enters, Jacob turns away from his electronic console to greet them.
"Hey. Can I help you with something?"

Jacob takes off his ear protectors, then rolls his shoulders before stepping forward. He'll need to reset the range, and handle the debris from the blasted targets, but it'll be a quick job for him. "Thanks for testing it out," he says to Heine. "I'll see what I can do to make it handle better, but in the meantime, I won't be recommending it. We've got better explosive weapons on board."

"Someone who wants to be an action hero might like it," he says, half-seriously. It's really too heavy for someone— especially of his weight and build— to practically handle in the field.
But his attention is taken by something else. "You have other explosive stuff?"

He picks up the Chakram Launcher after Heine sets it down and ejects its remaining ammunition, preparing it for its return to the rack in the armory. "We do have a couple lighter items. One of them's a pistol that fires sticky bombs. Neat gun if you can get the hang of it."

"I'll try it," he replies. It doesn't seem too safe to test sticky bombs inside a shooting range, but he can take it on his next excursion if necessary.

"Just don't get cornered while using this one. If its ammunition gets damaged the way that rifle did, there won't be enough of you to bury." The perils of explosive weaponry make them rarely the best choice for close quarters.
