[Action]
(This post will contain (and be set in) spoilers for Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea. Due to said spoilers, I'm putting the post content behind a cut. Some potential for blood and violence and creeping will occur here, as a forewarning.)
[ACTION A - Hydrangea Isle]
[ A beautiful, rainy, flower-filled island, in the middle of the sea is where you'll find yourself. She doesn't go to the surface much nowadays, but today she has, and so, she settles to picking flowers, humming to herself. She's only picking up red ones, though.
A girl in a disturbing red outfit. She reads as a witch of monstrous power, both to those who can feel it, and even to the naked eye. ]
Hmmm-mmm, hmm-hmmm... ah, I haven't gotten to be on land in so long, so I may as well make the most of this! Perhaps I'll grow some red roses... hmmm... oh? I see I'm not alone. Hello!
[ACTION B - The Red Sea, Underwater]
[ Her home is underwater, of course. As a sea witch, it's just natural. But this sea is polluted with blood, corrupt. Filled with horrible eyes and cast over by an eternal bloody moon, the waves seem to moan with the deceased, and the decaying... after all, their ruler IS the Dead Princess, Mikotsu. And unsurprisingly, a new person has arrived. Uncorrupted. Well, she'll see about that! They all learn eventually. Those who are not dead come over to their logic in the end, just as she did. Well, as the next best representative of their kingdom, Wadanohara curtsies to greet their guest. Her outfit is just as disturbing as your surroundings...
And if you can't breathe underwater, fear not, for she has cast a spell to fix that little problem handily. ]
Ah... welcome. Please make yourself at home! Today is a lovely night for a stroll.

It's hard to pin down in a place like this. Death is literally all around, or at least it feels like it. It's so prevalent, Rei barely notices she's breathing just fine even though she's somehow ended up underwater.
Finally, she pinpoints the location of that powerful aura, and whirls around to face it. ... Only to see a young girl curtsy in greeting.
Okay. Rei clearly has no idea how to react. Except with utter confusion. She doesn't read like an enemy... or an ally. Just... powerful. She'll have to be cautious, whatever she does.]
Hello...
[So many questions, and no idea how to answer them. But this whole thing seems suspicious somehow.]
no subject
I'm Wadanohara. Nice to meet you. ... You're from the surface, yes?
no subject
[It's not like that much isn't obvious. She's still trying to figure out how she's actually breathing. Not to mention how she got here in the first place... it's pretty fuzzy.
But she has other concerns right now, too. Glancing over the girl, she gives her a look that could either be questioning or knowing. Rei's very good at that.]
You're not?
no subject
[ She cast a spell, that's why. It's not like it's hard to do. She does it for her friends all the time. But either way, Wada doesn't really seem too bothered by that look. On the contrary, she just continues to smile. ]
I've lived here my whole life, though I go to the surface sometimes. Hm... you feel kind of like a shrine maiden, though. Am I wrong...?
no subject
... Then again, that thought is interrupted by a flash of alarm in her eyes as the girl reads her much more clearly than she can read her back. Even if she does seem like an ordinary... water-breathing child with a powerful aura... she can't let her guard down completely.]
No, that's right.
[Taking a cautious step forward now. She's good with actual children - she looks after them at the shrine all the time. But this is something new and unsettling.]
You're not a youma.
[She's sure of this much. But that's as far in the process of elimination as she can get.]
no subject
No, but I know all kinds of people. I'm a witch, and this is my sea. So... what's your name? You can meet everyone, I'm sure the princess will be happy to meet you too! We love visitors.
no subject
Maybe it's those eyes that are so unsettling? Like she really is no ordinary child, moreso than just being in this sea of hers.]
... 'Princess'?
[She can't have Usagi too, can she? Even if she did, would she know who she really is? If she ended up here, then the others might be, too.
Of course, the girl - Wadanohara - is probably talking about another princess, but it doesn't hurt to be careful.]
Rei.
[She gives Wadanohara a polite nod as she introduces herself. For now, she has no choice but to go along. If she wants to find out about this princess of hers, not to mention what that aura is all about. A witch... the word itself doesn't mean anything for certain, but she could be an enemy. At the same time... she doesn't sense any hostile intent...]
no subject
[ When it came down to it, this wasn't a lie. In the end, she was a sad lonely girl who ended up sealed horribly and rotting in place, too far gone to be normal anymore. But, she will turn on her heel, the narrow red paved streets filled with skeletal hands and strange undead sea creatures all around them leading onward into a once-beautiful undersea town, long since corrupted, its residents either decaying or insane. ]
The castle isn't too far~ We can prepare something nice or you!
no subject
It's not much consolation when everything around clearly reeks of decay, even just to the naked eye. But she can go along for now... it's really the only way she can think of to investigate how to leave this place.]
How do visitors arrive here? ... Is there a way back to the surface?
[Since the girl doesn't read as hostile, and Rei hasn't made any move to turn down her hospitality, maybe the direct approach will work?]
no subject
[ She will pause, looking back, red eyes giving an almost equally soulless stare as the sea around them. ]
... Or perhaps you have friends you want to bring?
no subject
Either way, she's going to play it safe.]
Not really.
[She does have a few very important friends, yes. But the last thing she wants is them ending up here. This girl might mean well, but who knows about the rest of the place? It certainly doesn't feel particularly good.]
Just responsibilities. I have a lot of things to do there.
[The shrine, the children, school, her friends, the mission... a lot of very important things to tend to.]
no subject
[ Yes, as its witch, she has many responsibilities... ]
But, wouldn't it be better to leave those worries behind? The surface world must be so troubled, too...!
no subject
[She appreciates the thought... she thinks? It'd be a better sentiment if this seemed to be more of a beautiful paradise than a decaying wasteland. But even if it were... she couldn't leave everything behind.]
no subject
[ Hm, hm. Was the surface really so... unenlightened and unhappy? Perhaps she has work to do. Surely their beautiful sea's happiness (corruption) could be spread to land...? ]
But, hey, tell me. Are there people you care about that you lost...? Or maybe... you know someone troubled...?
no subject
Not really. I've always been fine on my own.
[Once, that would have felt completely true. She actually used to say things like that. It feels kind of hollow now.
But still, there's enough truth to it. It wasn't that long ago that she felt that way. She can still remember what it was like.]
no subject
[ And in the end, sealing Mikotsu proved pointless. ]
Though in the end, it was a pointless waste of many lives. We're fine now.
[ There's a lot Wadanohara won't say. A lot. This sea is... much happier... even if it is so very unclean and bloody... ]
I've been wanting to go to the surface for awhile, but my husband gets so possessive! I'd like to get some flowers, but they'd probably wilt... maybe I should work on a spell for that...
no subject
It might explain the aura of death and decay all around, at least. But there's one thing that confuses her most about this whole thing.]
... 'Husband'?
[A possessive husband, with someone so young? Even if the girl is her own age, it doesn't sound good.]
no subject
[ It's her hope, though, that eventually it'll spread to the surface too. The ocean is connected to many things, so it's only a matter of time until its decay reaches land and streams and rivers... and more people.
Eventually, she will stop in front of a gigantic tower, that positively reeks of decay even worse than the town. ]
We've got spare rooms here~ So maybe I can work on a spell to send you back while you wait~
[ Except that's such a blatant lie. If given the option, she'd adore to see this girl as corrupted as the rest of them. The Sea often kills what it does not corrupt; hang around it long enough, and, well, it doesn't matter. The dead can just come back here, thanks to their Princess, right? ]
no subject
Are you really okay down here...?
[Because there's so much decay around, she can barely sense anything through it. It doesn't frighten her - she's willingly gone to the Dark Kingdom before. If anything actually poses a threat, she'll do what she has to to take care of it. But for now, this girl is the only hope she has of getting out of this place.]
... Anyway... thank you.
[No sense in being impolite. And if she can't figure out a spell to send her back soon, she'll just find her own way. As far as she can tell, nothing's keeping her here.]
no subject
[ She will laugh, cheerfully so, even. ]
I'm very happy... everyone here is...
[ Or, you know, they're dead. ]
no subject
Red is a good color, isn't it?
no subject
[ Her smile must border on completely unhinged by now. ]
Have you seen this cover/PV?
[Chouka doesn't seem to notice it... likely because her own expression is a mirror]
nope, actually.
Yes, yes, exactly~!
[ Her lover is a very red sort, it reminds her of him. Though, she doesn't truly love him the way he thinks, but she likes him well enough. ]

You have no regrets then? They are troublesome things, aren't they? But... so easily crushed.
was this originally a vocaloid song.
So little remains... of that young girl... no light penetrates anymore. Only blood and darkness. ]
Hehehe... why would I have regrets? Everyone is happy now...
Yup! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEeb9rOKn3Y
The red can grow. It's in the palm of our hands.
... Huh. This is actually one I haven't seen surprisingly! I RP a lot of loidstuff so o:
Aaaah? Is the sea not enough...? No, no, I suppose we could go farther... heeheehee... what is it you suggest?
It seems so very much you! :D
True freedom is beyond that. It is behind the crush.
It does, I might have to look into it later. xD
Ah, but I can be rid of everything I want to be... it's much more fun to watch the world slowly rot into peaceful, endless decay... with others there, who will slowly succumb to the understanding of it.
:)
And why not end it now? No need to wait for the true peace, is there?
no subject
If I've learned anything, it's that death is not the peace we think it is. My home is the home of dead and undead alike. Princess Mikotsu is much death herself... death would only bring you to something else, and it wouldn't be nearly as much fun! I've tried lots of things, though. I've tested it, and it's a shame, but that's just how it works... at the very least, everyone will be happy either way!
1/2
I felt peace. And I am dead. Perhaps... me and my family can speak to your princess? Do we not all want peace? But for the others...

no subject
[ Hm. The word sort of reluctantly falls out of her mouth. Can she really call him that, when no matter how much he opened her eyes, she still loved Samekichi...? When he was such a poor sport in bed in the end? ]
... My husband. She communicates best with him... but I suppose you could always just keep getting rid of people if you really wanted to...
no subject
Pitiful.
no subject
[ But, she will just go back to smiling vaguely. ]
He'll be useless to me in the end, once I have who I want. He's not very satisfying, anyway... but he can't do anything about it. No, I'm much stronger...
